Terms of use

These terms govern the use of PlayThePrompt (playtheprompt.com). By using the site you agree to them; by creating an account you accept them expressly. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Contact: [email protected].

1. The service

PlayThePrompt is a free collection of browser games made with the help of AI. Each game has a model card estimating which AI models and how much human work went into it. The games are published by the site's operators and by developers they approve, who must follow the content rules below; their creators are credited on each page. The service is offered as is and may change, pause or end at any time.

2. Model cards are estimates

The authorship numbers come from git history or from the developer's own declaration. They are estimates meant to inform and entertain, not audited facts, and they may be wrong (see "How authorship is estimated").

3. Accounts

  • Playing never requires an account. Accounts are optional and only for people aged 16 or older.
  • Give a valid email address, keep your password secret and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens in it.
  • Usernames must not impersonate others or be offensive. We may change or remove usernames that break this rule.
  • You can delete your account at any time in your account page.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law, harass anyone, or use the site to harm children or adolescents;
  • attack, overload, scrape at scale or try to break the security of the site or of the games;
  • manipulate ratings or statistics (multiple accounts, automated views, paid ratings);
  • send false or abusive reports.

5. Ratings

Ratings (1 to 5 stars) are your honest opinion about a game. Only logged-in players can rate. Aggregated ratings are public; who rated what is not.

6. Games and content rules

Games published on the site must follow these rules:

  • no content for adults only (18+): games must fit the age ratings L, 10, 12, 14 or 16 of the Brazilian ClassInd scale;
  • no loot boxes or paid random items, no gambling or betting, no purchases;
  • no chat or messaging between players;
  • no ads, tracking or collection of personal data inside the game;
  • the publisher must hold the rights to everything in the game.

We may hide or remove any game that breaks these rules or the law, or that we consider inappropriate, without notice. To report a game, use "Report this game" on its page (see the reporting page).

7. Intellectual property

Each game belongs to its creators, who allow us to host and show it. The site's own text, design and code belong to PlayThePrompt. You may play and share links freely; you may not copy or redistribute games without their creators' permission.

8. Games run in your browser

Games run in an isolated frame and may store saves in your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes them. We do our best to keep games safe, but we cannot guarantee that every game works on every device.

9. Liability

The site is free and provided as is, without warranties to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of saves or interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

10. Suspension

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms. You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, warn you on the site or by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your residence.
